Leeds United in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Izzy Brown on loan

Izzy Brown has already had four loan spells away from Chelsea and it looks like a fifth could be on the cards as Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign the 21-year-old, as per Sky Sports.

Brown knows what it’s like to be part of a promotion-pushing side, having been at Huddersfield Town in 2017 as they earned a place in the Premier League.

Brown, who can play as a striker, a winger or attacking midfielder, would provide Leeds with depth and allow them to rotate during the long slog of a Championship season.

Leeds have already taken both Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker on loan from Chelsea, but EFL rules allow them to take up to four players from one club, so they can still take Brown if all parties can agree to a move.

Brown was sent on loan to Brighton last summer but he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in January and subsequently missed the rest of the season, so he’ll be keen to get back playing as soon as possible.
