United offer Chelsea target Martial bumper new deal

Manchester United have reportedly offered Anthony Martial a bumper new deal as they look to tie down his long-term future.

According to reports in Italy, the Frenchman, who has emerged as a transfer target for Juventus, Bayern and Chelsea, could now be set to stay in Manchester.

Martial’s new deal is believed to be worth around £8-£9 million a year, with his current deal set to expire in 2019.

Chelsea were heavily linked with a move to sign Martial throughout the summer transfer window when it looked like Willian could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

It had been suggested that the two could switch clubs, with Jose Mourinho a known admirer of the Brazilian.

United were very keen to sign Willian, but Chelsea refused to do business unless Martial would head in the opposite direction.

Juventus are the latest team to express an interest in Martial, with the Turin side hoping to land the player on a free transfer at the end of his current deal.
