Many Chelsea fans have been quick to point out that Cesar Azpilicueta’s rating for FIFA 19 may be doing the defender a disservice.
The Spaniard was among many players to see their ratings confirmed by EA Sports as they released the latest batch of cards for FIFA Ultimate Team, ahead of the game’s launch later this month.
Azpilicueta starts the game as an 86-rated central defender. He boasts some impressive statistics, including 87 defending and 76 pace, but some fans felt that he deserved more.
Despite moving to a four-back system this season under Maurizio Sarri, Azpilicueta remains a central defender in the game having played there under former head coach Antonio Conte during the last campaign.
One fan was quoted as saying, ‘Should be 87’, while another poked fun at EA for their decision, ‘EA Sports doesn’t know how to rate’.
The defender started as an 85-rated player on FIFA 18 before being upgraded to an 86.
The Spaniard’s card has also caused quite the stir on social media.
