Chelsea’s Miazga involved in bizarre height-related clash with Mexico star

Chelsea’s Matt Miazga found his name in the headlines during the international break after being involved in a bizarre bust-up with Mexico’s Diego Lanez.

The defender was seen to mock the player’s height after they clashed during American’s game against Mexico.

Miazga, who is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side FC Nantes, stands at a respectable 6ft 3in, clearly did not take too well to Lanez squaring up to him.

The game finished 1-0 in the US’ favour on Tuesday night, with Tyler Adams scoring the only goal of the game.

Miazga was lucky to avoid a red card, with the defender already on a caution at the time.

The defender has started the season well for Nantes in France and will be hoping to make an impact in Ligue 1 after time on loan in the Eredivisie.
