Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he believes Eden Hazard can content for the Golden Boot in the Premier League this season, according to a report on the Independent.
Hazard netted a hat-trick for the Blues as they comfortably beat Cardiff City 4-1 at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian international looks at his sparkling best so far this season and has already scored five times in the league.
The playmaker linked really well with Olivier Giroud and Sarri is hoping that Hazard can continue firing for the London club throughout the season.
When asked if Hazard can win the Golden Boot, the Chelsea manager said:
I think he can. I talked with Eden on Friday and I told him that for me he can score 40 goals. He has to improve something but he can do it. Did he believe me? If you have seen the match, you have to say yes.
Hazard was used as a substitute for Chelsea during the first two league matches but he has proven why he can be the man to get the Blues back into the Champions League.
Sarri has played down Chelsea’s title hopes and believes that Liverpool and Manchester City are the favourites, but with Hazard in such fine form, anything can happen.
