Towards the end of the match, Pedro appeared to sustain a blow after a heavy collision with PAOK’s goalkeeper, Alexandros Paschalakis. However, as Chelsea medics helped him off, Pedro was visibly clutching his arm in serious discomfort.
With the Blues having used up all of their substitutes on the night, Pedro was forced to walk gingerly down the tunnel as 10-man Chelsea saw out their win against Greek outfit PAOK.
A first-half goal from Willian was all that Maurizio Sarri’s men required as they clinched their first victory of the new Europa League campaign.
The potential injury to Pedro, however, will have undoubtedly placed a dampener on Chelsea’s comprehensive away victory, with the Spaniard having been in impressive recent form in the Premier League.
