Galatasaray eyeing Cahill swoop

Turkish side Galatasaray are eyeing a swoop for Chelsea central defender Gary Cahill in the next transfer window.

According to Fotomac, Galatasaray are keen on bringing Cahill to the club and are set to make a move for the experienced defender.

The report claims that Cahill is their number one target as they look to improve their defence going into the second half of the season.

Cahill is out of favour at Chelsea and open to leaving if the chance arrises in the coming window.

The former England international has been linked with English sides, including Championship Aston Villa – who had his former teammate John Terry last campaign.

The central defender has played almost 300 games for Chelsea since his move from Bolton in 2011.

He has also been capped 61 times by England and was in the squad for the World Cup in the summer.
