Chelsea legend John Terry has revealed that he believes Eden Hazard is as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi after the Belgian was named in the FIFA Team of the Year.
As seen in an interview posted on AS, Terry clearly rates Hazard very highly and admits that the winger can continue to improve with Chelsea.
Hazard was in good form during the summer at the World Cup in Russia as he helped Belgium to a third-place finish in the tournament and he has continued that form for Chelsea so far in the Premier League.
When speaking about Hazard, Terry said:
A couple of people recently are coming out and saying he’s not kind of the finished article but believe me he really is and he’s up there with Messi and Ronaldo, without a shadow of a doubt.
I’ve seen him day in, day out for the last 5 or 6 years and he’s a top top player and he will only get better as well.
The winger, who can also operate as a playmaker, has already managed to find the back of the net five times in the league, including a stunning hat-trick against Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard is a key player for Maurizio Sarri this season and looks like the man who can lead their title charge.
