Conte linked with Manchester United move

Former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte could be the man to replace Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, according to reports in Italy.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Italian could be set for a move to Old Trafford, with Giuseppe Marotta likely to play a key role in any potential deal.

Marotta is being linked with a move to Old Trafford himself as a possible director of football and Conte could follow him.

The two worked together in Turin while at Juventus and a reunion is not believed to be out of the question.

Should United wish to hire Conte, they would need to pay Chelsea to release him from his contract at the club, with the Blues still paying him for the final year of his deal at the club.

The ex-Chelsea boss has also been linked with a move to Roma after leaving London.

Mourinho and Conte often clashed during his time in the Premier League, meaning the move would certainly be an eye-catching one.
