Chelsea target Daniele Rugani has seen contract talks with Juventus stall after their latest round of talks.
Reports in Italy claim that the defender has been in discussions with the Old Lady over a new deal after missing out on a move to Chelsea in the summer.
However, talks are believed to have stalled, offering Chelsea another glimmer of hope in their chances of securing a deal.
Rugani was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge throughout the summer, with Maurizio Sarri keen to strengthen defensively.
However, following a late double swoop from Milan for both Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara Juventus put the brakes on a deal for Rugani.
Both Caldara and Rugani were targets for the Blues but Juventus refused to lose two young defenders in the same transfer window.
Sarri remains keen to sign a young defender with Gary Cahill facing an uncertain future in London.
