Bakayoko’s Milan move labelled a ‘disaster’ by Italian paper

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s start to life in Milan has not gone swimmingly and the French midfielder’s move has been labelled a ‘disaster’ in Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian reports do not hold back in their evaluation of the on-loan Chelsea midfielder after his performance against Olympiacos in the Europa League this week.

Bakayoko has endured a difficult start in Italy, but in the wake of Milan’s 3-1 win over the Greek side, Gazzetta, as cited on Calciomercato, made their feelings clear about the player’s move.

Sorry to say, but that new purchase is a disaster, slow, cumbersome, imprecise.

The former Monaco man joined Milan on a season-long loan over the summer after falling out of favour under Maurizio Sarri.

Gennaro Gattuso’s men have the option to sign the player on a permanent basis at the end of the season as part of the loan agreement.

Bakayoko will be hoping he can rediscover the form he showed at Monaco while on loan at the San Siro after a difficult spell at Chelsea under Antonio Conte last season.
