Arsenal’s Smith Rowe rejected moves to Chelsea and Tottenham

Emile Smith Rowe has been one of the first youth players to break into the Arsenal side under Unai Emery but had his career gone differently, he could have been playing for Chelsea or Tottenham.

The Telegraph report that Chelsea, Tottenham and Barcelona all made approaches to sign the player as a 15-year-old.

Chelsea had reportedly spotted the player as a youngster but he was firm in his decision to remain at Arsenal.

Smith Rowe was keen to break through at Arsenal and make it all the way to the first-team, something he has done this season at the age of 18.

After catching the eye during pre-season, Emery has been keen to give Smith Rowe as many minutes as possible.

He was handed his first-team debut in the Carabao Cup earlier this season and has also been involved in the Europa League.

Unfortunately for the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea, Smith Rowe looks like one that got away.
