Hazard nominated for Ballon d’Or award

Eden Hazard’s brilliant start to the season has continued with a nomination for the Ballon d’Or award.

France Football have confirmed that Hazard, along with Antoine Griezmann, Isco, Harry Kante and fellow Chelsea teammate N’Golo Kante will be among the nominees.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo have already been confirmed on the list of nominees, who are being announced throughout the day.

Hazard enjoyed a strong campaign with Chelsea, despite their struggles under former head coach Antonio Conte last season.

He took his form into the World Cup with Belgium, playing an instrumental role in their third-place finish under Roberto Martinez.

Hazard was a key figure in their squad, despite Kevin De Bruyne taking a lot of the focus, it was the Chelsea man who stole the show on the pitch.

The Belgian has been equally as impressive this season under Maurizio Sarri, who appears to have taken his game to whole new level.

Following a brilliant start to the Premier League season, many are placing Hazard among the very best in the world on current form.
