Real to target move for Christian Eriksen rather than Hazard

Real Madrid will reportedly turn their attention to Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in the summer, rather than prioritising a move to sign Eden Hazard.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, as cited on Sport, Eriksen is the man that Real want to replace the ageing Luka Modric.

The latter is seeing his long-term future in Madrid questioned after being heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer.

Inter were very keen to sign the Croatian but no deal materialised, with Real keen to not lose both Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same window.

The report claims that both Eriksen and Neymar are ‘Plan A’ for the Spanish giants, with the club looking to make a ‘Galactico’ signing.

Hazard has talked up a move to Real Madrid in the summer after revealing that he is in two minds over whether or not to sign a new deal at the club.
