Eden Hazard has revealed that he will not be leaving Chelsea in January, despite suggesting he may need to move to Spain to win the Ballon D’or.
Speaking ahead of Belgium’s two Nations League fixtures next week, Hazard told reporters that he will not be leaving Chelsea in January, confirming his future at the club for the time being.
When asked about potentially winning the Ballon D’Or, and the fact that the winners of the trophy have all come from La Liga over the past few seasons, Hazard told reporters:
That’s why I want to go – maybe.
However, Hazard denied that he would be making the move to Spain this January, potentially opening the door for a move to La Liga next Summer.
Hazard also suggested he could be the best player in the world, although he did add he can still improve his game.
You can always improve in football. More goals, more assists.
The team is helping me a lot, but I can improve, for sure.
