Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will reportedly make signing Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek his number one priority in the January transfer window.
According to an exclusive report from the Express, the Italian tactician has identified Piatek as the man to provide Chelsea with another attacking option following slow starts to the season from Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud respectively.
Piatek has been in sensational form in the early stages of the season. He has found the net on nine occasions in Serie A for Genoa and has also netted four Coppa Italia goals.

The Poland international has been touted with a move to several prestigious clubs across Europe but it seems Chelsea will firm up their interest ahead of the mid-season transfer market.
Genoa are understood to be desperate to keep hold of Piatek until the end of the season at least. However, the report also indicates that the 23-year-old could be allowed to depart if a fee worth £40 million is offered.
Piatek is sure to be hot property in the January transfer window if he continues to score freely for Genoa, so Chelsea will need to act fast if they are to secure his services.
