Christensen could push for permanent Chelsea exit says father

Andreas Christensen could push for a permanent Chelsea exit during the January transfer window, according to the player’s father.

Christensen’s father was speaking on Danish TV channel TV3 Sport and he revealed that should game time not increase for his son in London, they may be forced to reevaluate their options.

He claims that there are interested teams in both Germany and Italy, with his long-term future at Stamford Bridge thrown into doubt.

The defender has failed to break into the Chelsea team under Sarri this season and has found game time hard to come by.

Sarri has preferred to utilise Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz in a back four, limiting Christensen to chances in the Europa League and League Cup this season.

Roma and Borussia Dortmund have both been linked with moves to sign the Danish defender in recent weeks.

Christensen was a regular under Antonio Conte, which has made his lack of minutes even more surprising.
