Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, as cited on Sport Witness, believe that Tiemoue Bakayoko could be on his way back to Chelsea during the January transfer window.
Despite claims of the player being recalled played down by both parties, the Frenchman is still yet to impress in Milan.
Bakayoko has struggled to adapt after a poor season in England and there are now serious doubts about whether or not he will see out of the season at the San Siro.
Milan signed the player on a season-long loan in the summer, which includes the option to buy.
However, his performances for the Italian side have left plenty to be desired and the local media believe he could be on his way out of the club.
Bakayoko may now decide to take up the option of returning to Chelsea in the January window and joining another club on loan to find regular first-team football in a bid to get his career back on track.
