Dyche feels Hazard has taken a step up under Sarri

Burnley manager Sean Dyche believes Eden Hazard has reached a new level following Maurizio Sarri’s arrival at Chelsea.

The Clarets boss spoke to the media ahead of his side’s encounter with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon and, as quoted by Sky Sports, was quick to highlight just how impressive Hazard has been this season.

He continues to improve I think and he continues to show that again this season. I think he’s shown his flexibility as a player, under different managers as well. I think most managers would like to have the chance to fit him in their side.

Belgium international Hazard currently leads the way as Chelsea’s top goalscorer in all competitions. The winger has netted eight goals so far and has also contributed with a further three assists.

Chelsea are sweating over Hazard’s fitness ahead of the clash against Burnley at the weekend, with the player believed to be nursing a lower back injury.

Nevertheless, Burnley boss Dyche was quick to insist that Hazard is not the Blues’ only threat. Highlighting Chelsea’s plethora of quality options, the 47-year-old said:

Top player. But you can pick out top players in all the teams in the Premier League, but particularly the top sides.

The real big sides don’t just have one, trust me. Chelsea are a fine outfit you saw that last night [against BATE Borisov] they made eight changes and you saw what happened, still a very, very strong outfit.

Chelsea will be out to continue their unbeaten start to the new Premier League season when they visit Turf Moor on Sunday.

matchday.
