Sarri: Barkley is now the ‘complete’ player

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has hailed Ross Barkley as ‘complete’ following the Blues’ win against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Sarri’s side turned in a professional display against the Clarets at Turf Moor, with Barkley playing a starring role as Chelsea came away with a 4-0 win to continue their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

England international Barkley has enjoyed an involved role in Chelsea’s first-team in recent times and turned in an efficient display against Burnley as he assisted two of his side’s goals and contributed with one himself.

Speaking after the game, as quoted by West London Sport, Sarri lavished praise on Barkley. The Italian said:

Barkley is doing very well in this period. He improved in the defensive phase, improved very much. He improved his physical condition because the last season for him was really very difficult.

He’s a very good player from the technical point of view. Now I think Ross is complete.

Barkley’s recent form saw him reclaim a place in the England national squad following a difficult period, which included injuries and inconsistency.

However, the former Everton star appears to have now found his feet at Stamford Bridge, with his manager content with the way he has developed this season.
