Chelsea enter the race to sign Nicolas Pepe

Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe but will face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

According to French outlet Telefoot, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are ready to provide late competition for the player.

The reports that Arsenal, Bayern and Borussia Dortmund are all ready to put a €50 million offer on the table.

Pepe has been one of the inform Ligue 1 attackers this season and his performances are not going unnoticed across Europe having scored eight times in Ligue 1, while also registering five assists.

He was heavily linked with a move away from Lille during the summer but opted to stay put.

It is now once again being suggested that the player could be on the move following an impressive start to the season.

The 23-year-old is expected to be one of the more in-demand players during the coming months.
