Real Madrid have reportedly shortlisted Chelsea target and Milan playmaker Suso as a potential replacement for Gareth Bale.
According to reports in Italy, as cited on TEAMtalk, the Spanish giants want to sign the former Liverpool man with Bale facing an uncertain future at the Bernabeu.
Bale has endured a mixed season so far and despite the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, he has been unable to step up for the La Liga side this season.
Milan themselves are growing increasingly worried about the prospect of losing Suso, with the player boasting a €38 million release clause in his current deal.
Talks have taken place about renewing the player’s contract in a bid to remove the release clause, but with interest mounting, the Serie A outfit face a battle to keep hold of the player.
Maurizio Sarri is said to be a huge fan of Suso and tried to sign him in the summer, but the Rossoneri were refusing to sell.
