Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has told the club to give Eden Hazard a more prominent role at Stamford Bridge if they want to keep hold of him.
Speaking to Goal about the Belgian’s future, Ballack outlined what the Blues must do to avoid losing their star man.
You have to pay him a lot of money! But more importantly, you have to give him a vision. You have to tell him how important he is, ask him what he wants from the club and to give him a little bit more responsibility. You need to find out what he wants as well, ask him if he’s happy.
There are still concerns about whether or not the Belgian will stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the next summer transfer window.
Hazard is being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, a club he has longed to play for since he was a young boy.
He has never hidden his intention to one day move to the La Liga giants, but it is yet to be seen when or if Real Madrid will launch a move for him.
Chelsea’s talisman is also keen to stay on good terms with those at Stamford Bridge after seeing the way that supporters turned on Thibaut Courtois over the summer following his move to Madrid.
