Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has held talks with Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir over a move to Stamford Bridge.
According to El Gol, via Sport Witness, Sarri had a phone conversation with Fekir where he outlined his plans at Chelsea and how he would fit into them.
Chelsea are keen to secure a deal to sign Fekir in January, after they failed to land him in the summer.
Fekir was on the verge of a move to Chelsea’s rivals Liverpool before Jurgen Klopp’s side pulled the plug in the 11th hour following concerns over a recurrent knee injury.
The Frenchman scored 23 goals in 39 appearances from midfield for Lyon last season and was in France’s squad when they won the World Cup in the summer.
The report claims that Sarri told Fekir that he will be a starting player in his side, in order to convince him to move to England.
