Hudson-Odoi preparing for January exit

Calcio Mercato claim Callum Hudson-Odoi will get a chance at first-team football away from Stamford Bridge in January, with the 18-year-old set to head out on loan.

Like so many other Chelsea youngsters, Hudson-Odoi will join a vast network of Blues players around Europe.

Manager Maurizio Sarri had initially shown an interest in keeping the forward around the camp, going as far to name him in the starting lineup for the Community Shield in August. Hudson-Odoi played 59 minutes before being substituted in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Since then, the Wandsworth-native has not seen much first-team football at all in West London.

A loan move could see Hudson-Odoi head onto the continent, with previous prodigies heading to Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands.

The prospect has received four caps for the England U19 side, scoring two goals. With other young wide-men like Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho seeing regular playing time abroad, Hudson-Odoi could benefit hugely from a similar move.
