Isaiah Brown makes long-awaited return from injury

Isaiah Brown has made his long-awaited return from injury this afternoon as he lines up for Leeds United’s U23 side.

The club have confirmed that the winger starts alongside fellow Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman in a youth game against Birmingham City.

The game will be his first unofficial start for the Championship side after joining the club on loan in the summer.

Brown has been plagued by a ligament injury that has ruled him out for 10 months, stalling his development just as he appeared to be finding his feet at senior level.

He has been sidelined since suffering the injury while on loan at Premier League side Brighton last season.

The former West Brom youngster is now expected to be a big figure in the Leeds squad during the second half of the seaosn.

Brown will be looking to get back up to full fitness ahead of his return to first-team action.
