Chelsea remain interested in a deal to sign Anthony Martial, according to Sky Sports, with Manchester United bracing themselves for interest in January.
The Frenchman’s contract talks at Old Trafford have arrived at an impasse in recent times, with no conclusion reached as of yet.
United are intent on tying Martial down to a new and improved deal at the club but the player himself has not yet committed his future, prompting speculation regarding his next destination.
Sky Sports report that Juventus are also in the running to sign the former AS Monaco youngster, who has been in impressive form for the Red Devils this season.
Martial has long been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge but it is believed that Chelsea would need to make room for the player’s arrival by offloading an attacker of their own.
The 22-year-old’s future remains under intense scrutiny but should he opt to seek an exit from United, he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors.
