Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic is a doubt for the club’s trip to face Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend.
According to The Daily Star, Kovacic suffered a muscular injury whilst on international duty with Croatia and could now miss the game at Wembley.
Kovacic did not feature in either of Croatia’s games after picking up the knock in training for his country.
He was not expected to start this weekend, but would have been an asset off the bench for Maurizio Sarri’s side.
The midfielder joined Chelsea on loan from Real Madrid in the summer and has impressed when given the chance this season.
Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley should start in midfield for Chelsea as they look to continue their unbeaten start.
