Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Turkish teenage forward Yunus Akgun, according to ESPN, cited by calciomercato.com.

The report suggests that the Blues are amongst a number of European giants looking at the 18-year-old, who has made seven first-team appearances for Galatasaray.

Italian giants Juventus, Portuguese side Benfica and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are all thought to be interested in securing the teenagers services.

Akgun, who is capable of playing as a central striker or out on either wing, recently featured for Turkey’s under-19 side, playing a key role in the Euro U19 wins over Moldova and England.

The forward has impressed so far this season, however, the highly-rated youngster has had to settle for a place on the bench, staking his claim for a senior start with numerous cameos.

It seems if the Blues want to secure a deal for Akgun, they will have to act in the New Year, as the striker’s stock is seemingly rising after every appearance.
