Chelsea and City willing to meet Tonali’s €40m asking price

Chelsea and Manchester City are believed to be two of the clubs happy to meet Brescia’s €40 million asking price for Sandro Tonali.

According to a report on TEAMtalk, who cite claims from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Premier League duo would be willing to splash the cash in order to bring in one of Italy’s brightest talents.

Inter, Roma, Napoli and Juventus have all been linked with moves to sign the Italian midfielder from Brescia.

Having impressed in Serie B, the player is expected to garner plenty of interest in the coming months.

Tonali has been dubbed the ‘next Andrea Pirlo’ and is very highly thought of in Italy.

Brescia owner Massimo Cellino has previously admitted that he would rather sell the player to a club in Serie A, meaning the likes of Chelsea and City face a battle to lure the player to the Premier League in the coming months.
