Andreas Christensen has struggled for both minutes and form so far this season, and rumours have been suggesting for a while that the Dane is close to a Stamford Bridge exit
It’s not as if the central defender isn’t attracting interest either, with a Calcio Mercato report claiming Tuesday that Milan are just the latest club to register interest in acquiring him.
Having made 40 appearances for the Blues last season, the 22-year-old had been expected to press on to bigger and greater things, but playing time under Maurizio Sarri has proven to be scarce.
Subsequently, many have speculated the centre-half would leave Chelsea either on loan, or permanently.
Milan are in dire need of a centre back, with injuries currently ruling out Alessio Romagnoli, Mattia Caldara, and Mateo Musacchio. As such, a loan option may be just what the Serie A outfit are after.
If Christensen got regular playing time, few Chelsea fans would take issue with the switch.
