Milan have turned down the chance to sign Gary Cahill from Chelsea during the January transfer window.
According to reports in Italy, as cited on talkSPORT, the player was offered to the Serie A side after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge.
However, in a blow to Cahill’s hopes of securing a move away, the San Siro outfit have turned down the offer.

It is believed that the club are looking for someone with a younger profile after suffering something of a defensive crisis during the early stages of the season.
The defender is still not expected to be short of suitors come January, with West Ham, Southampton and Aston Villa all linked with moves to sign the player.
Cahill is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer and a loan move away in the new year will all but bring an end to his time at the club.
