Chelsea are harbouring ‘strong interest’ in Cengiz Ünder.
The forward has been linked with a move to numerous Premier League clubs, but it is Chelsea who have emerged as a likely candidate to land the 21-year-old.
With the Blues on the hunt for a new forward, Ünder has captured the imagination of Maurizio Sarri with his performances for AS Roma. In sixteen appearances for the Italian giants so far this season, the right winger has three goals and four assists.
A Gazzetta dello Sport article (translated by the fine chaps at Sport Witness) has claimed that Chelsea have that ‘strong interest’ in the Turkish international.
However, Arsenal are also named in the report as another club who have a ‘strong interest’.
In this exploration of seemingly empty, meaningless transfer talk, your guess is as good as mine for what ‘strong interest’ really means. A team packing Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud up front can dream though, right?
