Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach have reportedly joined the race to sign Andreas Christensen from Chelsea.
According to claims from the Express, the German side want to recruit the Denmark international, who has fallen heavily out of favour at Stamford Bridge under Maurizio Sarri.
Christensen finds himself behind David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger in the pecking order and has often seen Gary Cahill preferred to him in central defence.
The likes of AC Milan and Barcelona have been recently linked with respective swoops for the centre-back but according to the Express, Monchengladbach have entered the race.
It’s reported that the club would be keen to take the 22-year-old on loan until the end of the current season.
Christensen is no stranger to Bundesliga football and did spend two years with Monchengladbach during a long-term loan deal.
Chelsea are said to be keen to avoid selling the promising central defender but could be open to the prospect of loaning him out, with his first-team opportunities limited.
