Rumoured Chelsea transfer target Isco admits he has “never come close” to moving to a Premier League club.
The silky Spaniard has been linked with a January moved to multiple English teams, having fallen out of favour at Real Madrid this season.
Chelsea are one of those to have been hotly-tipped to snap him up, along with Arsenal and Tottenham.
The Blues have been dealt a possible blow in their quest to sign Isco, however, judging by his most recent comments:
I have never thought about going to England.
There’s been serious offers but I’ve never come early close to moving to the Premier League.
But I think I made the right choice to stay, my Champions League medals prove that.
Isco has made just five starts in La Liga this season and appears to have clashed with new Madrid boss Santiago Solari.
At 26, he is in the prime years of his career and could be a star for another club.
His mindset regarding the Premier League may change in January, should Chelsea or another club make a bid for him.
