Chelsea are preparing to rival AC Milan for the signature of Barcelona’s Denis Suarez, the Express reports.
Barcelona value the Spaniard at £45million and AC Milan are keen to sign him on-loan in January, with an option to buy him at the end of the season.
However, Barcelona would prefer to wave goodbye to him on a permanent deal in January, something which Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea are prepared to offer.
The midfielder has struggled for game time this season at the Nou Camp and with Chelsea keen to strengthen their midfield in January, Stamford Bridge could be a perfect fit for Suarez.
Suarez has made just two outings for Barca this season and is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old is currently in his second spell with the Catalan giants and has previous Premier League experience with Manchester City, from whom he joined Barca back in 2013.
