Callum Wilson is being tipped to join Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The Blues suffered a 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Wednesday night – their second away loss in a row in the Premier League.
It leaves them 10 points adrift of leaders Man City, with a top-four finish looking increasingly like their primary objective this season.
With continued question marks against strikers Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, Maurizio Sarri could look for a new man to lead the line in January.
It is Wilson who has emerged as a surprise candidate, according to Betway’s Alan Alger, who said:
“It could be all change at Chelsea with Callum Wilson 3/1 to join the Blues from Bournemouth.”
Wilson has been excellent for Bournemouth this season, scoring nine goals in 17 appearances.
The 26-year-old also earned his first-ever England call-up, scoring on his debut against the USA.
Whether or not Wilson ends up making the switch to Chelsea remains to be seen, but he would be an interesting signing by the Blues.
Firepower is required in the second-half of the season, with both Morata and Giroud not without their critics.
