With a hat-trick in the Europa League, followed by two goals in the Premier League, Loftus-Cheek has been a man in form for the Blues. The 21-year-old at current has scored two in his last two games, against Fulham and Wolves respectively.

Having to compete with both Ross Barkley and Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic the youngster has been limited to just four Premier League appearances thus far. Despite his goalscoring antics the England International only made his first Premier League start in the Blues latest 2-1 loss against Wolves.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard spoke to Sky Sports regarding the Blues man’s future:

He’s a fantastic player. We all know. I’ve trained with him for five years,

I saw him when he was young, now he is not so young but he can still improve. But in the future I think he will be one of the best midfielders in the country.

After spending the 2017/18 season in South London with Crystal Palace the Lewisham born midfielder could be one of a handful of Chelsea players to benefit from the loan system, stating:

My mindset is when I get the opportunity to play, whether it is the Europa League or Premier League, I have got to do my best and to try to make stuff happen but also do what the manager asks me to do defensively. So that’s my mindset and I want to carry on like that.

A congested Christmas period could see the Englishman gain more minutes in the division with seven League fixtures in December. Chelsea next take on Manchester City, where Maurizio Sarri hopes to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Wolves.
