Chelsea ready to let Morata leave on loan in January

Alvaro Morata could leave Chelsea on loan during the January transfer window, it has been revealed.

According to reports in Spain, as cited on the Express,  the ex-Real Madrid man could leave the club temporarily after failing to impress under Maurizio Sarri this season.

Morata has fallen out of the favour once again at Stamford Bridge, with Sarri now opting to use Eden Hazard as a lone striker ahead of the Spaniard.

The move to start Hazard in a central position ahead of Morata against Manchester City was another signal that the player’s long-term future may well be away from Stamford Bridge.

Any decision to allow Morata to leave on loan is likely to depend on whether or not Chelsea can bring another forward in.

Olivier Giroud would be left as the only recognised senior striker at the club, with both Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi out on loan.
