Chelsea and Bayern Munich will reportedly go head to head in the race to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon in the January transfer window.
It is claimed by France Football, as cited in a report from the Mirror, that the Blues are ready to pursue their interest in the playmaker, who has been in impressive form for his side this season.
Fekir was courted by Liverpool throughout the summer transfer window but a move eventually fell through.
This does not appear to have deterred Chelsea in their interest in the France international, however, and it is reported that they will explore the possibility of a January deal.
The 25-year-old has found the net on eight occasions in all competitions this season for Lyon and has been a standout performer in their Champions League campaign.
Chelsea and Bayern will face an uphill battle in their pursuit of Fekir ahead of the upcoming transfer window, however.
It is believed that Ligue 1 giants Lyon are still reluctant to sell their star man.
