Valencia manager suggests Batshuayi can leave

Michy Batshuayi has failed to impress so far in La Liga, and there are suggestions his loan spell in Valencia could be terminated early.

The Belgian arrived in southeastern Spain in the summer, for what would be his second loan spell away from Stamford Bridge, having spent time at Borussia Dortmund last season.

Having made 17 appearances for his new club, just four of those have been starts in the Spanish top-flight.

His manager, Marcelino, wasn’t particularly forthcoming when discussing the future of the forward either.

Quoted by Four Four Two, Marcelino said:

At the right time will analyse the final situation and we will decide [what to do with Batshuayi],

There is a transfer [clause], I do not know what the situation is contractually, but for all parties who want to leave, we will look for what is best for Valencia and thus the appropriate decisions will be made.

With Chelsea set to bring in a new striker in January, Batshuayi’s Blues future appears to be increasingly bleak.

matchday.
