Chelsea reportedly set Real Madrid price for Eden Hazard
Chelsea have told Real Madrid they will have to spend £163million to sign Eden Hazard, according to OK Diario.
Hazard’s future has been continually up in the air for some time now, with contract talks at Stamford Bridge appearing to stall.
The Belgian superstar’s current deal runs out in 2020 and Madrid have been tipped to bring him in as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement.
If the report is to be believed, the La Liga giants now know the price required to prise Hazard away from the Blues.
It is a fee that Chelsea could potentially find hard to say no too, should it be met, with their star man turning 28 early next month.
Equally, however, Hazard remains comfortably the Blues’ most important player and he will be integral to their Premier League and Europa League success this season.
The forward seems happy in west London and Maurizio Sarri has spoken of his desire to keep him, assuming he wants to stay.
It feels like a saga that will continue to rumble on.
