Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has vented his frustration at the role he is playing under Maurizio Sarri this season.
As reported by talkSPORT, Fabregas confirmed that he is unhappy at the club after becoming a bit-part player.
I know what my role is – unfortunately, it’s not the one I want. It’s a difficult situation for me, obviously. I’m playing the cups and the Europa League. I’m not someone who you’ll see complaining or not giving his all because of that. I’ll always be there showing my face when needed.
The Spaniard has seen most of his football come in the cup competitions this season.
Fabregas has fallen victim to Jorginho’s arrival over the summer, with the Italian taking his place in midfield.
He now finds himself continuously linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge in January, as he bids to find regular playing time during the latter stages of his career.
Milan are keen to take the player to the San Siro in the new year, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to afford a deal for the ex-Barcelona man.
Fabregas is out of contract in London next summer and is unlikely to be given a new deal, meaning he’ll be free to speak to clubs from January 1.
