Chelsea target Higuain could leave Milan in January
Chelsea target Gonzalo Higuain could reportedly leave Milan in January, with it looking increasingly unlikely that the striker will join the club permanently.
Reports emerging in Italy last week claimed that a permanent move from Juventus is in doubt following the club’s Financial Fair Play issues.
Milan were fined after being found guilty of breaching FFP and the news has cast serious doubts over any future transfer business.
Calciomercato now reports that Milan could now part ways with the striker as early as January.
Higuain is only on loan from Juventus, with the Rossoneri having the option to buy the player as part of the loan deal.
Milan would have to pay around €36 million in order to sign the striker on a permanent basis.
Despite Chelsea refusing to sign the player over the summer, Higuain continues to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Maurizio Sarri a known admirer.
Chelsea are looking to replace Alvaro Morata, with Sarri currently being forced into using Eden Hazard as a false nine.
