Izzy Brown suffers injury setback in Leeds U23s clash
Chelsea’s Izzy Brown appears to have suffered another unfortunate injury setback.
Joe Urquhart of the Yorkshire Evening Post reports that the Chelsea winger was forced off during a Leeds U23s clash, with what appeared to be a knee injury.
Early reports about Brown’s injury worries remain unclear and the possibility of a hamstring problem is not being ruled out at this stage.
Brown, who had been seen to be heavily strapped on one leg during the game, was unable to continue and was immediately replaced.
The winger has only just made his comeback from injury after missing months out of the game.
Despite joining Leeds United over the summer, Brown is yet to make his competitive debut for the club and has been looking to build up his fitness in recent weeks.
This latest setback is another horrific blow for the youngster, who has seen his development stall as a result of a string of injuries and bad luck.
