Sarri facing Hazard dilemma ahead of Bournemouth
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is facing a dilemma regarding Eden Hazard’s involvement in the team’s upcoming Carabao Cup clash against Bournemouth, according to the Telegraph.
It is believed that the Belgian international was poised to start in the Blues’ midweek outing against their fellow Premier League counterparts.
However, Hazard sustained what appeared to have been a minor knock in the recent win against Brighton and Hove Albion, leaving Sarri to sweat over his condition.
Chelsea are evidently taking the Carabao Cup seriously this term and it seems they were prepared to call on their star man to help them overcome the Cherries.
This may not be a plausible approach for Sarri and his side, though, with the former Lille star’s fitness under scrutiny.
If Hazard is unable to compete in the encounter, it is claimed by the Telegraph that Olivier Giroud is set to occupy the central role in the team’s front three.
