Chelsea have been handed a blow in their pursuit of Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj, with the player’s agent revealing a clause that will prevent the Blues from signing the Albanian.
In an interview with Mario Giuffredi, the player’s agent, on Calcio Mercato, it has been revealed a clause was put in place between Napoli and Chelsea after the Blues signed Jorginho.

In it, a clause was written in that will stop Chelsea from buying any more of Napoli’s players, to stop Maurizio Sarri raiding his old team.
In the interview, talking about a potential switch for Hysaj, Giuffredi said:
We’ll talk about it after the January market. This summer he could go to Chelsea, Sarri would have liked him, he has a 50 million clause, maybe Naples would have even accepted 40-45 million. The negotiation has never taken off because De Laurentiis, to free Sarri, has imposed a clause that forbade Chelsea to take other players over Jorginho.
Hysaj has been a target for the Blues, as they look to strengthen at full back.
