Blues to make £70m bid for Isco
Chelsea are to launch a £70m bid on Wednesday to sign Real Madrid star Isco as they move ahead of Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for his signature, the Daily Mail reports.
The Blues are hoping to quickly agree a deal of £250,000 a week for the play maker, with a huge signing on fee set to also be a part of the four-year-deal.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is said to be a huge fan of Isco and the Spaniard is believed to be wanting a quick move away from Real after falling out of favour.
Arsenal had been chasing Isco but have delayed making an offer, whilst Manchester City were wanting to wait until the end of the season to bid for his signature.
Sarri is believed to have already delegated negotiations to sporting director Marina Granovskaia, with the 26-year-old not starting any of the club’s last six La Liga games since Santiago Solari replaced Julen Lopetegui at the end of October.
Isco was also booed by Madrid supporters during last week’s Champions League defeat to CSKA Moscow and could now be on the move in January.
