An agent appointed by Chelsea has made contact with midfielder Nabil Fekir over a potential move to the Blues, according to L’Equipe.
The midfielder had been linked with a switch to Liverpool in the last Summer window, but the deal fell through after concerns over the player’s injury history.
However, Chelsea are reportedly interested in a move for the Frenchman and have sent super-agent Pini Zahavi to try and begin informal talks.
Chelsea are currently leading the discussions for Fekir, but the player may not be interested in any move before the Summer transfer window.
The player is currently going through a change of agent, and is unlikely to begin talks until the change is completely sorted in April of next year.
Fekir has been impressive for Lyon, including scoring 3 goals in 5 Champions League games so far this season, helping Lyon make it through to the knockout stages of the competition.
