Chelsea given boost in attempts to land Christian Pulisic

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly approached Borussia Monchengladbach over a move for Thorgan Hazard, as a potential replacement for Chelsea target Christian Pulisic, according to RMC Sport, via Ronan Murphy.

Pulisic, who is thought of as a future star across Europe, has been a long term target for the Blues and looks set to leave the Bundesliga by the summer.

Reports over the past few weeks have suggested that the American wide man could well sign for Chelsea in the new year for a fee worth £60 million.

However, Premier League rivals Liverpool are also keen on the winger, with Jurgen Klopp, who worked with Pulisic at Dortmund, interested in bringing the 20-year-old to Anfield.

And according to RMC Sport, Dortmund are reportedly planning for life without Pulisic, by approaching Monchengladbach regarding Eden Hazard’s brother, Throgan.

The 25-year-old has been in fine form for Monchengladbach this season, firing in 12 goals in all competitions during the current campaign.

The news will be welcomed by Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, who is keen on adding to his squad in the new year, especially in an attacking sense.
